Book Club Movie Night

A success! My friends enjoyed My Neighbor Totoro, though Japanese animation seemed to be entirely new to them, other than of course the half-Japanese one who's seen the movie dozens of times. We set up J's TV outside on his deck with my blu-ray player, and we arranged our chairs in a semi-circle. It wasn't dark, but that wasn't a problem. T. made popcorn the old-fashioned way, and R. brought some of her husband's birthday cake.
