Local excitement

It's all going on right now in Eugene, folks. The U.S. Olympic Trials for Track and Field have taken over the eastern side of campus, the Oregon Bach Festival is downtown and the southern side of campus, and I believe the Oregon Country Fair - a huge hippie institution - is about to start any day now too. It's west of town but people arrive weeks in advance to camp out in their friends' driveways and such.

We did our errands without any particular traffic, though - maybe even quieter than usual, since there were so many thousands of people at Hayward Field all day for the track events.
