May Monday

Today I sacrificed a fair amount of potential work time so I could go to the office and sit through the meeting at which, at the very end, I got permission to submit my upcoming proposal. I really should get around to doing my official colloquium so I can move up from “associate scientist” to “research scientist,” but the only perk besides the nicer job title is not having to get permission to submit proposals.

Afterwards, J. and I walked over to Market of Choice and then we sat beneath a fine big walnut tree while he had a picnic lunch (I had eaten in the meeting). What a pretty day it was today!
