Three Musketeers
May. 7th, 2016 11:30 pmJ. and I went to the school play -- rather, it's one of the several plays the high school is doing for spring, and I guess most of the male actors were in the others, because the cast for The Three Musketeers was dominantly female. That is, D'Artagnan, Richelieu, his henchman, and Porthos were all played by girls, and so were the various female characters. The girls-as-men were all convincing enough, especially Porthos, and the actress who played Milady was especially entertaining. There was an extra major character named Sabine who was D'Artagnan's sister; not my favorite. The script had so much humor in it, especially for the first act, that I thought Constance might survive in this version, but nope.
