One fun thing about working from home

When you’re working from home, you might find yourself in a conference call with colleagues in Tucson, and another one at the Mayo Clinic who isn’t sufficiently motivated to learn how to use Skype or other video chat clients, such that you’re all on the phone together. And you might find that it’s a pretty, sunny day, and you can wander outside and sit in a lawn chair and admire the flowers, including the big rose-red peony, and the many little blooming sprouts of forget-me-not in the lawn. And you can walk down to the street and check your mailbox, and then you can walk all the way to J’s mailbox, and then put his mail in his house, and then return to your comfortable lawn chair. And all the while, you can be contributing meaningfully to this meeting on the phone. Hoorah for technology, I say, hoorah for technology.
