Botheration
Jan. 26th, 2016 11:39 pmI woke up sick _again_ with the same motion-sickness symptom that I assume is the usual labyrinthitis, the inner-ear thing that I get from a cold virus or from allergies with some frequency. Not sure yet whether it’s the virus or the allergies, now that pollen season has started – I should have a better idea on Thursday when we expect more rain.
I did pop down to the office to work on a proposal budget with JA, though I was only there for 20 minutes. J. and I went on a short walk along the millrace to see the breeding pairs of ducks. I wonder how many weeks until we get ducklings and goslings?
I was clearly too unwell for the evening entertainment I’d been looking forward to (but had had the foresight not to buy tickets for yet) – the Delgani string quartet was going to perform with a gentleman whose profession involves dramatic readings from literature. The promotional material mentioned Wind in the Willows, Don Quixote, Paradise Lost, and various poems including “The Walrus and the Carpenter.” Instead, I took an anti-histamine (to see if it would help) and crashed on the couch for a 90-minute nap with Ajani.
