Magic and molcajete
Jan. 9th, 2016 08:55 pmD. and I were both very low energy today, but J. had been looking forward to playing Commander, a Magic format, and we had three friends come over, so we ended up playing. My plan was to play one game, with my simple monogreen Freyalise pre-con deck, and then rest on the couch while they played several more. As it happened, though, our first game lasted nearly four hours, and thus it was our only game. Eventually I went to lie on the couch when it wasn’t my turn. And, although I was the least serious of the players... I won! All of my 1/1 elves were 22/22 or so at that point, and I had at least five of them, and another card that made them unblockable.
Afterwards, J. and I went out for Mexican food, and I had the lovely molcajete (stew) that I’d been looking forward to for weeks. Mmm.
