Again, a birthday party!

Last year I had a fun birthday party, where people came to play Magic, and we had a fancy “triple berry” birthday cake from the nice birthday cake bakery. So this year we got to do it again! Most of my adult friends who play Magic were out of town, so I ended up inviting two of our younger friends, ZT (who is the DM of the D&D game D. plays in, a year younger than he is), and KI (three years younger than T, the brother of the fellow I mentioned yesterday). Then we had J’s friend Jim and my friend C. and her son S, and of course D. and myself and J, our host. I lost to C (barely) and beat ZT (barely) and was soundly trounced by J. The overall winner was D.

We had a beautiful cake! It was a sachertorte. I had two bites today and can gradually eat more. People sang happy birthday, especially S, who has a beautiful, loud bass voice. What fun!

(My actual birthday is Tuesday; today is R’s birthday.)
