Eyeglasses!

D. is going to get glasses, although the doctor notes that he could get by without them, since it’s really only the left eye that needs correction. On the one hand, it’s great that he’ll get to choose whether or not to wear them; on the other hand, needing to wear them would make it less likely that they’ll get lost or forgotten somewhere.

The funny bit was getting advice on what’s in style from a woman who’s probably well into her 60s... but since she sees what people are picking out, she’s the one with the expertise.

Hopefully the glasses will be ready by next Friday. D’s going to surprise his friends by posting a selfie to Instagram.
