Beta testing blahs
Jun. 16th, 2015 09:56 pmThe beta testing of our website seems to be taking all my waking hours, which is something I had not expected. There are so many technical issues with the interface between our testing software and the website itself, and I'm doing lots of tech support. We also had an unexpectedly large number of women sign up to test the website... and many of them didn't press the final "Next" button on the sign-up survey (even though I'd asked them to in bold and italics), so their information wasn't showing up in the main report.
The people who actually get as far as testing the website seem to really like it! They like the information, the interface, the game I created, etc. I have to keep my focus on the outcome when I'm feeling drained from spending all day and all evening working on these technical things that mostly won't even be relevant to our real study.
