A lot, a lot
May. 4th, 2015 10:51 pmToo much? I dunno.
Anyway, today I got to see James Pennebaker talk on campus, and I'd write more about it, but I'm too worn out. After that, I came home and found that D. probably has an infection in one or both ears. I took him to Junior Orchestra, then came back and stuck my hand down in that murky little pond to unclog J's water feature. When we had it working at a good rate, we went to the neighborhood pet store, where we bought six rosy red minnows (@ 17 cents). We spent some time introducing them to their new home, then I went back to pick up D. and got to hear them doing the "Egmont Overture" and the theme from "The Magnificent Seven." After all this, his ears were hurting a lot, so we put on a hot compress when we got home. Then I made several trips up the driveway to J's house to deliver enough ingredients that he could make a second batch of brownies for home (the first match is for their Cinco de Mayo potluck). By this time, D's ears had stopped hurting so much and had switched to sounding like pop rocks. So we don't know if D's going to school tomorrow, and we don't have a primary care physician for him since our doctor has personal issues, so I'll probably take him to the new urgent care clinic that J's been to twice. That means I don't know if I can run my weekly project meeting tomorrow. We'll see.
