Audition-planning [backdated post]
Apr. 30th, 2015 11:58 pmDid the Internet eat my Thursday post? Or did I never write it? What I intended to say was:
D's planning for his Youth Symphony audition, but they might have only one opening, so he might end up in Junior Orchestra no matter how well he does. Anyway, the kind lady who's in charge of the administration of these things is also a clarinet teacher, and she lent D. a whole stack of music. Today he tried out all the pieces she had flagged, and he picked five of them to try again another day. What with two instruments and all these rehearsals, he has very little time for actual practice (which he doesn't exactly want to do anyway).
