Man am I tired now!

First I went to a business-meets-the-arts event as a representative of the Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras. This was at our local concert hall, and I’m told that about 400 people were attending. It was loud! I sat at a table and answered questions (to the extent that I could hear them), and I mingled a bit as well. It’s the kind of thing that wears out an introvert, just the cacophony, plus I still have a cold. Then I went to a public lecture given by my new friend Ajit to a local group of (mostly elderly) peace activists, on how to use narrative in political contexts. She talked for about half an hour, then there was more than half an hour of questions. I spoke briefly with her afterwards, then came home. I feel like lying on my bed and reading, and/or making a big bowl of pasta, but I think I’ll be virtuous and do some work.
