February Housework Challenge
Feb. 12th, 2015 10:15 pmSomeone on my friends list, if I'm remembering correctly, once decided to limit herself to 30 minutes of housework a day. My approach, on the other hand, is to do the bare minimum I need to get by: dishes, laundry, anything that grosses me out, etc. I've been thinking, if I were to do 30 minutes' of housework every day, it would start to get cleaner around here, without having to create and tackle special projects.
So, in the nature of the "wellness challenge" we do at work every year, I have a plan. For the rest of February, with hopefully not more than one day off, I am planning to clean and tidy up for 30 minutes a day. Excluded are normal laundry, litterbox cleaning, and unloading the dishwasher, but everything else counts, including up to maybe 10 minutes a day of paper-sorting.
I started two days ago, and already I see some progress, which keeps me interested and encouraged! And I'm using the hourglass feature on my phone, which makes it fun. And of course, I get to stop when March arrives, which makes it bearable.
