Three reliefs
Dec. 5th, 2014 04:58 pmFirst, YAY, I got that long genocide prevention paper submitted, this morning. So that’s a burden lifted. Then, later in the day, they finally got around to saying they wanted me to submit it (based on the abstract I sent in October), so that’s good too. And they also said they were extending the deadline to January 31st, so although it’s great to be “done” with it, it’s also nice that we can improve it... at a more leisurely pace.
Next, yesterday was the review date for the e-cigarette proposal, and it was in the half of proposals that were not even discussed, so it’s definitely not getting funding. This might seem like cause for dismay, because my current grant only lasts two more years, and without grants I don’t have a salary. But I was pretty stressed about this one. More on that later.
Finally... two days ago I was too busy to wash my hair when I showered, and yesterday I was too busy to shower at all, and right now my hair feels so clean and soft and lovely that it’s making me very happy. Don’t take clean hair for granted!
