Still not “well,” but I made it to the office and ran the weekly meeting and printed a bunch of stuff and renewed some 17 library books in person because their new system is still messed up.
Also, I spent some three freaking hours hunting for my phone today. I knew it could only be in a very limited number of places, because I’d only been in a very few places since the last time I was certain I had it. And I looked in this limited number of places very thoroughly. And I also checked numerous other places that I was pretty sure weren’t likely, but that maybe I’d been spacy enough to forget – like, for instance, sorting through the entire bag of garbage in the kitchen, ick. Later, after work, J. looked for a while too, as did D. Then, finally, I moved the couch and found it... in a spot that seemed exceedingly improbable, at least three feet from where it would have fallen if the kittens had knocked it off the arm of the couch where I’d most likely set it. And behind several pens and cat toys, such that I hadn’t seen it the four times I’d looked under the couch with the flashlight. Those kittens must have played with it very vigorously indeed.
