Signs of summer

Our friend the deer is back. It’s now his third summer hanging out in our back yard – at least, we assume it’s the same fellow. After work, I decided not to chase him away and instead sat in my reading chair in the side yard, by the front door, because it was WARM, and I started reading Palace Walk by Mahfouz because it’s due back at the library. Such pleasure, reading outside.

Sorin just spilled their cat food bowl all over the kitchen floor, so I’d better go clean it up before the ants find it.
