Spring break, day 3

Today I just spent time plugging away at my modest list of spring break goals – I have a bunch of cleaning and gardening tasks lined up, along with writing and other work goals. Mostly I worked on dissertation paper #2, but I also pulled grass from the most publicly visible of the flowerbeds, and I’ve mostly decided to give up on the lawnmower, since a replacement battery would be like $115, with no guarantee of fixing it.

We also watched episode one of the new Cosmos, and I’m about halfway through the sequel to the book I enjoyed last night.

And I’ve spent a lot of energy adding more aluminum foil to the kitchen counter. Ajani flinches when he hears the rustle of the foil, but Sorin might be using it as a signal for where I’m keeping the good stuff.
