I’m now not sure that yesterday’s idea of working on a third project to “relax” was optimal – I’d probably have slept better last night if I’d kept making progress on my two big projects. They’re both at stages of awkward uncertainty, from my perspective, which is what makes them, well, more stressful than projects and proposals usually are. Today I did enough on the e-cig one that I was able to put it back in other people’s hands temporarily, for feedback. I also have a fairly well defined set of tasks to do on the other, which should help.
D. played in a “Magic Game Day” as practice for tomorrow’s big tournament, which he seems to consider the highlight of his Magic playing to date. Today he went 3-1 and finished 9th out of 30 – too bad he had the poorest tie-breakers of the seven who went 3-1, or he’d have also gotten a prize. J. went 4-0 and won the main prize, a nifty playmat with minotaurs. (I keep wondering why minotaurs get to be a species, when there was only one of them. I’m pedantic that way.)
There, D’s finished his essay on Jerry Oltion. Now he has to read an article and write notes on a topic that I heard as “tamed rinking,” but is really “teen drinking.” Too much homework for a Saturday night...
