Last Sunday of summer
Sep. 8th, 2013 11:56 pmToday we shopped for a mattress set for J. It turns out my favorite style of mattress is “luxury firm.” If I had one of those instead of the soft one I have now, I bet I’d feel better every day when I wake up. Ah well.
Then we visited J’s friend’s house, which has a view all the way to Mary’s Peak (the highest point in the Coast Range, up near Corvallis). J’s friend’s wife is the director of the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson house, a fancy older house down by the train station that’s part of the city parks. I hadn’t met her until today.
Then swimming (last day for the year; J. came with us), spaghetti, a Fairy Tail episode, a walk with my Korean friend (who had been travelling around the country for the last two weeks), a half hour playing Secret of Mana with J&D, and reading a bit of the Belgariad epilogue to D. Soooo tired now, though.
