Revisions, revisions

G. suggested that my moralization paper could benefit from a more informal and engaging introduction, so I thought of a list of recognizable names of “moralizers” from a variety of domains that I could use as examples. Then I realized that my whole list had something else in common – they were all “First World” white men. *sigh* I’m glad I noticed. Now I’ve got more variety.

Only three people got around to giving me input on the paper, and it’s interesting and kind of delightful to note that these helpful friends are all people I know via LiveJournal, rather than my actual colleagues. A few others working directly in the field might have the time to respond later, and I also got my research assistant to read it, so we can discuss its practical aspects. (She’s very enthusiastic – I hope it’s not just because I’m her boss!)
