Today, I...

• Visited two houses on a “Music in the Garden” tour to support the symphony. One belonged to a friendly acquaintance from D’s school; the other had lots of crafted stone art and a labyrinth, which I walked while listening to pretty recorder music.
  
• Fretted about D, whose apparent hay fever turned out to be a cold, we think. He fell asleep just before R. arrived to pick him up but went over there for the night anyway.
  
• Watched the premieres of two new SyFy shows. Sinbad featured Malta plus a beautiful CGI background as the city of Basra. Between this new Sinbad and Game of Thrones, it seems like I’m seeing a lot of Malta, where the cities seem to be made entirely of beautiful yellow stones. Then, Primeval: New World starred one of the Eureka actors, dealing with the infiltration of dinosaurs into Stanley Park in Vancouver. I’ve never watched the original series, but it was hard to resist a series premiere when the TV was already on the channel.
