Purposeful recreation
Jun. 7th, 2013 10:29 pmJ. is playing in a late evening Magic tournament. He’s trying to get enough “Planeswalker Points” that he’d get a bye (a free win) at the grand prix he’s going to in a couple of weeks, which would also let him sleep in on the first day, and he can get to the points goal by doing reasonably well today and tomorrow (which also happen to be with the same new release of cards he’d be using at the grand prix, so it’s good practice).
Thus, now that D’s in bed, I get to entertain myself for the next few hours and much of tomorrow. I’m not quite ready to do the next rewrite of my moralization paper (this time to make it more entertaining to read), but I don’t feel like reading at the moment and I haven’t yet taken the initiative to find something on TV. Instead it’s playing a pledge break special about Oscar Hammerstein, with the sound off, and I keep glancing up and seeing silent 1950s technicolor musical scenes.
Okay... tea, and a snack, and some of that Facebook “boggle” game?
