Energy! Activity!

What a relief – today I finally got past the virus symptoms that have plagued me for the last week, and I also didn’t have yesterday’s migraine nor D’s new cold. So I actually did things! It was Lillian’s 8th chemo visit, and every fourth visit they keep her long enough that we can go out and do things for a bit. This time we drove over to the Dorris Ranch and had a picnic! We then walked through the filbert orchards over to the river and back. So many wildflowers! Very pretty wild delphiniums, camas, bleeding hearts, vast expanses of little white-flowered groundcover, and a mysterious one with a small flower that looked like a blue version of honeysuckle, but single and blue.

Then when we got home from the vet, I finally got to mow the outer part of the lawn (all the battery could handle at one go). Then I drove to campus and met with G, who had feedback on my moralization paper. Then J. brought us Mexican food and we watched Game of Thrones before R. dropped off D, and we watched Looney Tunes, then we all went over to J’s to look for Magic cards for a deck he’s building. Tomorrow I aspire to doing some actual work!
