Purity theory, health, Sliders
Mar. 12th, 2013 10:56 pmToday I read a worthwhile paper on “purity” as a social motivator, exactly the sort of thing that’s useful for my MFT critique, which has turned into more of a paper on the moralization process.
I’m not happy about being so queasy today, though. I can’t tell if it’s (a) an after-effect of the migraine I had for a few days, (b) some hormonal thing, (c) a magnesium-deficiency thing (which has often lead to queasiness in the past, though I think I’ve been eating okay), (d) an actual minor illness, or (e) something else. Maybe tomorrow will be better!
As mindless entertainment, this evening I watched what must have been the most boring Hercules episode of all time, followed by an episode of a show called Sliders, which I’d never watched, and which had 69 episodes! How ignorant of me. Not that I feel the least bit inspired to watch it again. The fun bit was a sport that combined basketball, go, and science trivia knowledge, and it was largely spent at U.C. Berkeley, where I went for undergraduate.
