Found!

After I’d gone through all the boxes I’d intended to go through, I came across another one hidden behind the rocking chair in the spare room, and lo and behold, I found about a third of my main record-keeping files in there. I don’t remember putting them there, but my file cabinet did seem kind of sparse in that department, so, whew. The car titles file also included R’s truck title, which meant I could give it to him.

So I think the guy who wants the Volvo will be back next weekend with $300 for it – too bad the car doesn’t start, or he’d have offered a bit more. He wants to fix it up as a project, he says, and that’s exactly the kind of car it is. Meanwhile, it was good to get better acquainted with the contents of nine boxes of papers, and some day in the near future I can perhaps treat them like all those boxes of work papers I sorted, and thin them out and get the good stuff organized for filing.

Also today I semi-watched a bunch of Star Trek: TNG on BBC America (why they show it, I do not know), and D. and I took down the outdoor Christmas lights.
