Okay, today was unusual

- My sister and I agreed with our real estate person on a sale price for my mom’s house, “as is,” after hearing the report from the inspector. Lots of structural issues. Possums in the crawl space, too.
- I finished reading Redemption in Indigo by Karen Lord, a work of “speculative fiction” that was extraordinarily well written.
- We had a beautiful and placid male deer hanging out in our fenced back yard for at least five hours this afternoon – apparently wandered in through the gate. Mostly he lounged about, but he also ate apples, dandelions, grass, nearly all of my tomatoes, blackberries, random flowers, and a few of the mushrooms growing in the lawn. I took lots of pictures. Lillian ran under my bed more times today than she had in the previous six years combined, and she doesn’t seem convinced he’s gone yet.
