Yesterday’s post was a taste of the final stage of our genocide study – we’re now looking at five control cases. (The partition of India is a little iffy – after all, half a million people did die – but that wasn’t promoted by the central government). So now I have a big stack of biographies to go through. I have to say, reading about Mandela, Gandhi, Nehru, Aquino, etc., will be a lot more heartening than reading about Hitler, Stalin, and their ilk.
