Monday listy

• D’s current bedtime book is The Red Pyramid. The coolest thing is that he’s been looking up the various Egyptian deities on Wikipedia to learn more about them. They just studied ancient Egypt in his social studies class too, which I’m sure helped. He told me that Set is from the Old Kingdom and Osiris from the Middle Kingdom.
  
• I bought a pretty fuchsia hanging basket today!
  
• I also bought some roast beef for delicious sandwiches. I haven’t had roast beef for months. Mmm, sourdough bread, roast beef, dijon, and tomatoes.
  
• Lillian’s new “throne” is D’s backpack, tossed on the couch. She’s curled up on it asleep as I write.
  
• More progress on the dissertation. Slowly but surely.
