“The Case of the Mythical Monkeys”

Sometimes I record Perry Mason episodes, then later I watch one during meals, spread out over the course of a day. Today’s episode had such a fun combination of actors. The larger than life best-selling novelist was played by Beverly Garland, whom I mostly know as the dad’s new wife on My Three Sons. The victim’s low-life brother-in-law was Norman Fell, the landlord on Three’s Company. And the defendant (secretary to the novelist) looked familiar, though much younger than I’d ever seen her before – it turned out to be Oscar-winning Louise Fletcher, whom I’ve seen most often as the narcissistic and creepy religious leader Kai Winn on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
