Monday happenings

• I got an original poem in my e-mail today! D. sent me the one he wrote at school for the cultural fair.
  
• Only two more episodes of Downton Abbey, I think. At least things should turn out well for Ethel – I bet the major’s parents will really want that grandchild in their life.
  
• This afternoon J. and I looked at apartments in this part of town. They’re nicer than I expected. His newest roommate has taken to burning incense in the house, which is of course a normal thing to do, but since I’m allergic to fragrance and it saturates J’s clothing, it’s a problem. Blah. Also, the newly arrived chickens at his house can be pretty noisy.
  
• D. and I found some clarinet sheet music for the “Pink Panther Theme.” I also got to introduce D. to the music from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly today, and Peter Gunn, and “The Baby Elephant Walk.”
