Snuggling on the couch with D, watching Babe.

Humming the Saint-Saëns theme music for hours thereafter.

Also good:

Making my own french dip sandwich, with au jus from the pot roast, not some MSG-laden mix.

Having Verizon agree to send me a new phone, since mine has lost its camera function.

Wrapping up in my favorite blanket to watch the second half of The Thin Man in bed.

Kermit’s ecstatic purring every time I show up to feed him. (When I visited him tonight, we had carollers!)

Minor nuisances:

The Verizon guy losing my phone contacts, though I really didn’t have many.

Discovering that two of the three library books I got today are too scented for me to read inside, and in this weather I certainly can’t read outside.
