Three Splendid Things

Doctor Who and Philosophy went on sale today, yay.

My insurance agent called today to tell us that we were eligible to move up to “preferred” (apparently we hadn’t been for a while, due to ancient tickets or accidents incurred by R?), and doing so is going to save us over $800/year for car insurance and $240/year on the house!

A first look at the data from my current NIH study shows an intervention effect of 9.2% vs. 2.8%, and it's statistically significant (that is, we can be pretty confident that the difference isn't just due to chance). Nice!
