Lovely!

Today was so gorgeous out that it felt like summer! Clear blue skies, 77°, nice as could be. I almost didn’t mind waking up to feeling a bit unwell. For various reasons, I ended up visiting D’s school’s plant sale three times in the afternoon. We bought no plants but a quantity of baked goods and for me, a little pineapple pizza baked in Mazzi’s open-air oven. At home, I sat outside in my very comfortable lawn chair, next to a purple bearded iris with nearly a dozen blooms, all smelling faintly of lemon cream, and I finished rereading the previous Mary Russell novel and started on the new one.
