Foot diagnosis from afar
May. 13th, 2010 10:25 pmAnyone care to advise about my minor but persisting foot injury, without seeing it, and perhaps without having ever even seen me whatsoever?
The pain, such as it is, is localized around the joint of the big toe that’s closest to my leg. When I walk, that area hurts, and the ball of my foot (directly below the joint) hurts as well. When I press that joint, from the top, it hurts too, but it’s not a sharp pain. The arch of my foot is fine, and I can wiggle my toes all around without any discomfort. I didn’t “do anything” to injure my foot, and I only wear comfortable shoes, when I bother wearing shoes.
If it were a stress fracture, probably it would hurt more? And descriptions online of stress fractures mention the top of the foot hurting, not the ball. Maybe it’s a tendon thing? It’s a nuisance to go see the doctor. Maybe next week.
