Day 1013: Dinner party

Today we had a dinner party to thank the people who helped us with both weddings, the marriage ceremony in January and the big party in June. We just ordered Thai food, and there were 11 of us, seated at three tables. I think everyone had fun - our youngest guest, M, who's age 19 months, certainly had a good time. Since she'd been to our house less than two weeks ago, she was pretty comfortable (and very cute). We were all done by 9 pm, and then J. napped a bunch, while I read. D. headed out after the food part of the gathering to go play games with two friends; he walked home in the rain after 2 a.m. and arrived looking moderately damp, though he was fine.

How wonderful to have a dinner like that! And not a bunch of work for you cooking, my favorite kind :)

All I had to do was get everyone's orders and call it in (and bring two more plates and forks from my house). I didn't even have to wash the dishes, since we ate at J's house! :)
