fractal9091 came back from his friend K’s Seattle wedding around 10:30 p.m. last night (by way of the Washington and Oregon coasts). We watched the first “modern”
Doctor Who episode on PBS, then one of the early episodes from the 1990s
X-Men cartoon series, of which we are both fans. (Magneto was introduced.)
Today started with a bit of drama for me, when my computer wouldn’t do anything but sit there, but fortunately I still had my original noisy power supply, and when I popped it in, all was well. After
fractal9091 got up, we returned his rental car, then spent about three hours working, plus a lunch break, then he and D. played
Warcraft 3 a while (unfortunately, we couldn’t get a third computer going, but I had other stuff to do too). I grilled hotdogs for dinner, then
fractal9091 and I went down to Z’s “leaving ORI” party at Mekala’s, where he had a chocolate and cream cocktail and I had Thai chicken and rice soup, and then we walked over to the river. There are lots of athletes and spectators all around, but driving and parking near the office are not bad at all.
