Ahh, the colonel

Four times (!) this week I watched part one of the new Sense and Sensibility, and tonight I will get to see dear Col. Brandon attain complete happiness. Some may prefer Mr. Darcy, but I adore the colonel, a man of intense feelings but great self-discipline, along with all the social standing, refinement, and dashing 1790s wardrobe that any woman could want.

And just as The Doctor may sometimes look very much like Tom Baker, and at other times like Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant, I have no problem that Col. Brandon should resemble both Alan Rickman and David Morrissey. *happy sigh*
