Snow is falling!
Jan. 5th, 2008 04:38 pmNeighbors are standing around, necks craned, enjoying the novelty. D. cannot remember ever seeing falling snow before. (Yes, he has.) R. and I wonder about the wisdom of ordering dinner from Ocean Sky, since they're kind of slow and the roads might be less passable by then. Yes, it is really snowing.

Edit, 5:03 p.m. It is definitely sticking, with no chance of melting 'til tomorrow. New dinner plan: Walk to El Corral instead.

Edit, 5:18 p.m. Now my mom's had a minor accident not far from her house, and a patient-sounding police officer has called R. to come rescue her. Snow brings adventures... And mysteries. Why was she driving in the snow, at twilight? And why did the police call DH's cell phone - for which we cannot even imagine a connection - rather than us directly?
( Mysteries solved, maybe; cut as I've already used up enough space )
