Old game shows
Jun. 16th, 2007 09:18 pmThe GSN channel is doing a countdown of top episodes of old game shows. Today I saw a Password episode that looked at least as old as I am, followed by a What's My Line in which the panelists tried to guess the job of a certain Georgia politician, in approximately early 1975, and then a Press Your Luck in which a contestant managed to win over $110,000 (typical winnings were more like $5-10,000) by recklessly spinning again and again, against incredible odds.
Later, on the Science Channel, R. and I watched Mars Underground (which wasn't underground in either sense of the word, really), but which got me much more intrigued about the idea of sending a manned mission to Mars in the near future.
