Thursday bits

Not a completely unproductive day. I ordered my utterly unscented shampoo, enough to last for two years. I also used the phone to get hot and sour soup to come right to my house! This may sound trivial, but we have only one good Chinese restaurant in Eugene, and it doesn't deliver. So I ended up with Thai. The soup was okay, though a bit overloaded with bamboo shoots, and R. was happily surprised (I also got pad thai and cashew chicken).

D. and I played chess and watched the second Harry Potter movie yet again. He also made a lot of progress on his new book, The Great Gate, and his typing speed is about twice what it was yesterday when he started the project. It's another story about knights. It's the coolest thing: My first-grader's hobby is writing fantasy novels.
