Reviving the garden

This morning I finally got started. I weeded Robin's area, then D. and I worked on tidying up the deck, then I took a first pass at weeding the strawberry barrel and the vegetable bed. My real desire is to make the area right outside the front door all pretty again, which would be a lot of work. But to inspire me, here's a picture of how it looked about 8 years ago:


Today was the last day of spring break, an extra day for teacher prep or something. I didn't treat the last 10 days as a vacation, but I didn't really get anything done either. It would be nice to have a break from work that doesn't involve having less free time than my regular schedule! Some day when D. is big, I suppose.
