Sunday indulgence

I'm enjoying Paladin of Souls, but it would have been good to know in advance that there's an earlier, related book. Today I had an especially lovely lunch, a salad with little pink shrimp and a slice of sourdough bread with tapenade, instead of the usual brown rice with cheese and salsa, and I read some of the book, then R. and I watched Sideways. It's sort of a male yuppie version of a chick flick, with lots of amusing surprises. The two guys are both somewhat morally sleazy, yet eventually endearing.
