Yup, taxes are good, you heard it here

estuelke posted a link to a Classic Rock test.
I think it was more of a "How old are you?" test, because I scored 96% and am definitely not in a situation of "Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock and envy your impressive collection," as the quiz claims. I think the closest I have to a classic rock album is an old cassette of Eric Clapton's "Slowhand" somewhere in the garage. I do have two Queen LPs, for which I've taken *ahem* nothing but grief over the years, but I'm not convinced that's entirely within the genre. I just happen to be the age where one can't avoid having the knowledge that's tested in this quiz.
Jon Carroll, the S.F. Chronicle columnist, today addressed one of the political issues that most aggravates me, the blind adherence some people have to the Government is Bad and Taxes are Theft positions. (No one will ever confuse me for a Libertarian! I even got in an argument with a petition signature gatherer on campus once -- I mean, taxes are how we as a community pay for things we collectively want! Give me a break!) Anyway, I love Carroll's line, "Hurricanes are unimpressed by the market economy." (Read Carroll's column.)
