A wee update
Jun. 1st, 2004 10:41 pmAfter over two more hours of searching, I did find the book. I finished it, too. My fingers aren't bumpy and itchy yet. *knock on wood* I finished the Niebuhr biography and didn't really mind it (though eventually I was skimming through some parts); at least now I know which of his books might interest me. I found that I could order the butterfly book from the publisher. R. planted 1,295 daylilies last week, bringing his total to a nice, round 2,125.
There's so much pollen in the air that if one can stay shut inside all day, it's worth it. I drew open the window shades, though (being normally too lazy to do it), and spent a small part of the afternoon gazing out at the first drifts of cotton floating in the air... Sometimes a gust of wind would shake the cottonwood trees, and all the leaves would glitter in the sunlight, and a few rose petals would join the bits of cotton in the air, whirling about, mostly horizontally, before drifting more sedately downwards.
