Day 990: Baby Sorin

Today Facebook showed me this photo from nine years ago, baby Sorin, two days after coming to live with us. Back then his name was Lexie, as we'd been told he was a girl.



So itty bitty! He's a big cat now, 16 lbs.

Aww, and I love the gray striped ones!

Sorin is such an unusual color! We know he's not a grey tabby (that's dark grey stripes on a light grey background), and for a while we thought he was a silver tabby (but that's dark grey stripes on a silver background). It turns out that with black stripes on a grey background, technically, he's a brown tabby without any brown. Crazy, huh?

Oh! I didn't realize all the varieties of tabbys! The favorite cat my sister had when we were little was a silver tabby I think. <3
