Day 956: Such a fun day!

I had a great time. I've finally bounced back from that booster shot. I collected several fun books at the library (and a couple of movies), and I visited AA and DG to see their Halloween decorations. I also got to see her cozy setup with their gas fireplace, and the three of us chatted for about 40 minutes.

Then, there's a song I'd been hoping to identify for years, which I'd heard sung at several local concerts. I'd figured I'd eventually introduce myself to the singer, whom I see at various events, and see if she could recognize the melody, but every time I saw her in the last few years it seemed too awkward. But it occurred to me - email! I could probably describe the song well enough. So I wrote to her and she wrote right back. "Gloomy Winter is Now Awa’" - that's it! I love it when a long-standing mystery is solved!

It was great, our few days of fall color before the big rainstorm, and now everything is just wet and messy. :P
