Day 918: Pretty Saturday

I am still somewhat ill and quite low-energy, but not particularly uncomfortable, which is great! I did have to take a nap in the evening. I set the alarm for two hours, though I hoped I would only sleep for one - and then when I woke up and picked up my phone, it said it was 59 minutes, 56 seconds until the alarm would go off. What precision by my brain!
Earlier in the day, I sat outside in J's yard, with the trickling water pretty much drowning out the across-the-street neighbors' decision to play hard rock loudly (I was a fair distance away, really). I brushed Ambrose, who had quite the burr collection, then I read a bit, then J. found Azalyn and joined me. So that was lovely. The autumn crocus are all in bloom near the water.
D. came home from R's house, hung out here a bit, went to S's for a while, then returned and left to spend the night at R's again. Tomorrow he has to work so he'll get a real "commuter" experience - it takes an hour to get home from there by bus, and then he'll have to change clothes for work.
In the evening, when it was time to watch anime (which we needed to do, to make DVR space), we decided not to repeat yesterday's gamble nor to make it even worse by having J. in my house. We considered setting up the TV and moving it outside, which would have been a big hassle (though nice for the outdoor cats). Another option would be for me to watch a couple more Perry episodes instead, but that seemed tiring. I realize that since the show we were going to watch (Black Clover) is also on our Funimation subscription I could just delete them from the DVR, but I have them there on principle to make sure they eventually get watched (same for Game of Thrones). Eventually I realized that the solution was to watch them in parallel - me with the DVR recordings, and J. with Funimation, synchronized and chatting on Skype. That worked fine; no germs were exchanged.
