D. now finally gets to start summer break, having finished his last summer class. He finished a day early - the last assignment took him only 4 hours. It's about 18 days 'til fall term starts. He still has to work on Sundays and Tuesdays, but I am sure he's happy about getting to relax the rest of the time!
Meanwhile, it feels very strange to have a King of England again (U.K., really). It feels downright medieval; between Elizabeth II and Victoria a queen feels much more proper. I remember that there had been speculation years ago that Charles might take the throne as a George - in my opinion, let's leave it to Prince George to be the next King George. Okay, and since the current U.K. life expectancy is 81 years, and Prince George was born in 2013, and his oldest child will become monarch regardless of gender, then I guess the statistical likelihood is for a 50% chance that the next queen regnant will take the throne in 2094 (assuming the very idea of monarchy continues there).
