eve_primeIn a couple of hours, we'll be watching Oregon vs. Oregon State, one of the oldest college rivalries in the country. This game's always fun for us, because, well, I went to Oregon; my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and son earned degrees there; and it's local, but... R. went to Oregon State. (It's not like there's much actual hostility around town -- we save that for Washington.)
So Oregon's ranked #10 and yearning to be invited to the Fiesta Bowl, though we were told that having Michigan beat Ohio State would have helped, and that (alas) did not happen. I hope Oregon wins, of course, but I also hope it's fun to watch and that Oregon State's Mike Hass has at least one spectacular play. He's the top receiver in the country, but I don't think anyone outside the state knows it.
Meanwhile, I'm about to eat lunch and do some work on my term paper, which is about the tendency towards dichotomous thinking.
